Coach Joe Magno has been the owner of a well established baseball camp for 20 years, conducting over 800 camps and 20,000 private lessons. He is a former college baseball coach, a former Associate Scout for the Cincinnati Reds, and former bench coach for the former Western Minor League Champions, Long Beach's Breakers, along with his own expertise.
Joe Magno's Mr. Baseball Training Camps' main goal is to teach both the basics and nuances of baseball and to reinforce the traditional values of organized sports: sportsmanship, teamwork, and determining and upholding personal values. We at Mr. Baseball believe that if our children learn the value of working individually towards their team's common goal, they will learn a lesson that extends far beyond the baseball field.

Our Catalina Adventure sports camps allow students to learn their sport from the best coaches in Southern California, while connecting with the beauty and all that Catalina Island has to offer. We offer a one-of-a-kind experience your child will always treasure. Our campers’ ages range from 5 years, accompanied by a parent, to 19 years of age. They will enjoy learning a sport from professional coaches while enjoying a sunny, fun-filled summer adventure!

The camp goes from Mon - Friday, has all meals included. Sports training is from 9am - 12 noon, with instructional games taking place from 12:30 to 2:30pm. Fun excursions like fishing, swimming, hiking, snorkling, kayaking, scavenger hunt, and more from 2:30pm to 6:30pm, with dinner to follow. Evening activities are mini golf, arcade, movies, ice cream and more. Three home cooked meals a day and afternoon snacks!
